En caso de deslizamientos que afecten el trayecto, se realizan transbordos en la zona afectada. Estos transbordos son habilitados y brindados por los pobladores del lugar. El costo de este servicio es de S/ 10 soles por transbordo (por persona) y deberá ser asumido completamente por el pasajero.

By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and accept our Cancellation and Refund Policy, as well as our guidelines regarding modifications, payments, and the handling of personal information. We are committed to full transparency—our terms are written in a clear, straightforward manner to ensure you have all the information you need to make confident, informed decisions.

Reservations and Payments
At Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica, you can make your reservations safely and easily through our official website or directly at our offices in Cusco.
For transport services to Hidroelectrica and one-day tours, full payment is required at the time of booking.
For multi-day tour packages, your reservation will be confirmed with a 40% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid in person before the start of the tour.

Changes and Cancellations
General Changes
Changes are subject to availability and must be requested in advance. All modifications are governed by the specific terms and conditions of the service booked.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation Fees – One-Day Cusco Tours
More than 15 days before the service: 30% cancellation fee (to cover operational costs)
Between 5 and 15 days before the service: 40% cancellation fee
Between 48 hours and 5 days before the service: 70% cancellation fee
Less than 24 hours before the service or no-show: No refund
Cancellation of Packages Including Machu Picchu Entrance and Train Tickets
Please note that the initial deposit is non-refundable, due to the following reasons:
Machu Picchu entrance tickets have high demand and limited availability; once reserved, they cannot be canceled or refunded by the issuing authorities.
Train tickets may allow date changes (subject to fees), but do not allow cancellations under any circumstances.
Non-refundable operational costs are incurred from the moment the reservation is confirmed (including coordination, logistics, and administrative expenses).
Cancellation of Transportation Services and Promotional Rates
Date changes are accepted with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service.
In case of a no-show, rescheduling is not permitted.
No refunds are provided for transportation services to Hidroelectrica booked under promotional rates.
Refund for Category Downgrade (Transportation Only)
If you change your booked transportation service to a lower category, a proportional refund will be issued.
Refunds are processed via the original payment method or PayPal, with an estimated processing time of 45 to 65 business days. Alternatively, refunds can be collected in person at our offices in Cusco upon prior arrangement.
Policy for Natural Disasters, Strikes, and Other Unforeseen Events
At Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica, we understand that unforeseen situations—such as strikes, natural disasters, or road blockages—can impact your travel plans.
Our policy in these cases is as follows:
If the event directly affects the date of your service, you are eligible for a 50% refund.
If the event does not directly affect your service, our general cancellation and change policies will apply.
Refunds, when applicable, are processed through the original payment method or PayPal, and may take 45 to 65 business days to complete.
We always prioritize the safety of our passengers and aim to provide the most reasonable solutions during such disruptions.
Landslides and Transfers
In case of landslides affecting the route, transfers will be arranged at the impacted area. These transfers are organized and provided by local villagers. The cost for this service is 10 soles per person, per transfer, and it must be fully covered by the passenger.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected situations such as cancellations, delays, accidents, illness, or lost belongings.
Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica is not responsible for any additional expenses or losses incurred due to the lack of valid travel insurance.
